For some, getting their baby or growing their family isn’t straightforward. Each fertility journey is different and unique. LGBTQIA+ families; donor conceived; solo parents choosing to conceive without a partner; those with medical considerations; to those who know the pain of infertility or secondary infertility and those using surrogates – as well as many other stories that don’t fit the mainstream narrative around conceiving a baby.

 

I’m very happy to support anyone going through their own unique fertility journey, however that looks for you.

 

This is an overview of the continuous support you will receive from me; more details can be provided upon request.

• Free initial consultation - let's have a chat to see if we ‘click’ and make sure I'm the right person to support you.

• Ongoing emotional support over the phone/messages when you’re having a wobble or if you need to talk through an appointment.

• Signposting to evidence-based research so that you can make informed decisions about your care.

• Support during appointments where possible (subject to availability) and in=person support.

The service you get is entirely tailored to your needs. I'm there to support you and your family if applicable, to ensure you feel listened to and supported.

Pricing

As everyone's fertility journey is unique, the length of time that support is required is naturally very changeable. If you need to pause the support at any time, you can absolutely do so. I'm also aware that the financial impact of fertility treatments can be high and this can be a heavy burden; I absolutely do not wish to take advantage of someone's fertility/infertility struggles.

Phone only based support

£100.00 per month, £75.00 per month for those on lower incomes. This can be on an ongoing basis for as long as you require support.

In=person and phone support

The price for in-person support will depend on the amount of visits required.​

Low income

If you are struggling financially and need support but cannot afford it, I ask that expenses are covered where possible (mileage £0.45 p/m and parking) . If this is not possible, please still contact me and if I am able to support you, I still will.

Alternatively, I offer a "Dial a Doula" service which is 1 hour of telephone/Zoom support for £60.00 which can be booked here on an ad-hoc basis.

Q. Are gift vouchers an option?

A. If family members, friends or work colleagues etc would like to contribute towards you getting this support, they are welcome to e-mail me abbyhopewell.doula@gmail.com to arrange a gift voucher for you which can then be used towards the cost of support.
